When choosing diesel generator sets as backup power supply in hospital requires considering carefully. Diesel power generator needs to meet various and strict requirements and standards. Hospital consume a lot of energy. As statement in 2003 Commercial Building Consumption Surgey ( CBECS), hospital accounted for less than 1% of commercial buildings. But hospital consumed around 4.3% of totally energy used in commercial sector. If power could not restored in hospital, accidents may happens.

1. Quality Assurance. Ensuring the continuous power supply of the hospital is related to the life safety of patients, and the stability of the quality of diesel generator sets is very critical.
2. Quiet environmental protection. Hospitals often need to provide a quiet environment for patients to rest. It is recommended to consider silent generators when equipped with diesel generator sets in hospitals. Noise reduction treatment can also be carried out on diesel generator sets to meet the requirements of noise and environmental protection.
3. Auto-starting. When the mains power is cut off, diesel generator set can be started automatically and immediately, with high sensitivity and good safety. When the mains comes in, ATS will automatically switch to the mains.
4. One as main and one as standby. Hospital’s power generator is recommended to be equipped with two diesel generator sets with same output, one main and one standby. In case one of them fails, the other standby diesel generator can be immediately started and put into power supply to ensure electricity supply.
